New Member Information

The process for becoming a voting member begins when the electronic STL3 Membership Application is completed, submitted and received by the Membership Chair. Due to potential email misdeliveries, an electronic application is not considered completed until the Membership Chair has confirmed receipt of the completed on-line form.

MC SIGNATURES

The Sponsor or Membership Chair will provide the Prospective Member with a ‘Signature Card’. It is the responsibility of the Sponsor to introduce the Prospective Member to each of the nine members of the Membership Committee (MC).  Each MC member must meet, interview and sign the card in order to verify they have met prior to the vote.

QUALIFYING EVENTS

The Prospective Member must attend a minimum of three Qualifying Events, and must have accrued a minimum of 60 days before they are eligible for vote to become an StL3 member. Please keep track (names & dates) of the three events attended on the front on the signature card.  Qualifying events are: STL3 Open Munch, St Charles Munch, Spanksgiving, BMSL, and others to be announced to your Sponsor.

AMPP

Prospective Members may attend the monthly AMPP (After Munch Play Party) and some other private STL3 events only after attending an STL3 Orientation Class and when accompanied by their Sponsor.  STL3 Orientation Classes are scheduled every month, typically on the Tuesday evening prior to the 2nd Saturday of the month. This must be attended before going to parties even if the prospective is voted in before attending.

VOTE

Upon meeting all of the above requirements, the Prospective Member’s application may be voted upon at the next monthly Management Committee meeting. (Voting Process: In the case of a unanimous or one dissenting vote, membership will be granted.  In the case of 2 dissenting votes, the application will be tabled, during which time the applicant may be asked to attend additional events in order to satisfy any questions or concerns. If after this time, there are still 2 dissenting votes, additional steps will be discussed with the applicant and the sponsor. In the case of 3 or more dissenting votes, application for membership may be declined)

DUES

After the prospective member is voted in, the new Member must immediately pay their annual dues (currently $60 per year).  Depending upon the calendar month, annual dues for the first year may be pro-rated. Please check with the Membership Chair for the correct amount due.  After initial dues are paid, the new member will be granted access to the STL3 Google Groups platform. If dues are not paid within 30 days of being voted on, the ability to attend private parties is revoked until paid.
